Abstract
One disadvantage of LCDs is their slow response time compared to traditional CRT displays. Although there are many existing methodologies to enhance the images displayed by the LCD, there are only a few systematic studies of the LCD models. In this paper, we derive the LCD model in the spatial and temporal domains. We show explicitly how the temporal blur problem can be approximated by a spatial blur problem. We also analyze how the motion direction and magnitude affects the blur.
