RESEARCH FIELDS:
  • Digital Signal Processing:

-    Image and video enhancement: methods and algorithms to reduce the spatial and temporal compression artifacts such as blocking, ringing, mosquito and flickering artifacts.

-       Spatio-temporal filtering for video coding: optimal weight for inter-coded frames, in-loop filters and post-processing filters for quality enhancement.

-   Interpolation: filter-banks based super-resolution, edge-based interpolation and motion compensated frame interpolation (MCFI), combination of interpolation and quality enhancement for displaying.

-        Data pruning-based compression.

-        Wavelets transforms and neural networks in denoising.

  • Data Hiding: blind digital audio watermarking using spread spectrum techniques.
