Research Simulation Results

We compare our method with direct MCFI, and adaptive VMF in Alparone96 but with motion-re-estimation at the decoder. Three video sequences, FOREMAN, WALK, and FAST FOOD, of CIF size are encoded using H.264 at the bitrate of 384kbps. Two other video sequences, FOOTBALL, and KAYAK, are encoded at 512kbps. Even frames are skipped at the encoder and are interpolated at the decoder to evaluate the performance of the proposed MV processing method. This work has been submitted to IEEE ICIP 2008.
